Snowy Sheathbill in High Key

Hi folks
after a longer absence from here i hope to find a way back into BPN business
As i have not yet posted a lot from my South Georgia trip from 2012 in Avian ... i thought might be a good idea to share something now
Image of this Snowy Sheathbill taken at a landing site called " Cooper Bay " where we went for the Maccaroni Penguins .... it was a very hard landing ... due to fresh heavy snowfall . We had to climb up a short but very steep hill .... sinking into the snow up to my hips in parts of the way up to the point where the birds have been .
We got there and after finishing with the penguins i found this Sheathbill and took a couple of frames .

This is a special picture to me. Everything about it to me is perfect. Details in the head and beak look great. I really like the way the face just seems to emerge from the white. Also how the cool white of the bird just fades into the background. Really well done. This is a unique look at a very cool bird that most of us will never get to see. Congrats.

Nice or the theme and I like the white on white effect and the strange face. I'd certainly add catch light to the eye. It looks very dead without it. TFS.

Love the way this Sheathbill is almost disappearing into the snow- beautifully exposed, perfect composition, an aesthetically pleasing shot overall.

Wondering about the catchlight, and this is a real dilemma for me since I admit I do not mind cloning if necessary - I do take out the odd branch or stone from time to time. I agree it would add more life to the subject but I struggle with the idea of adding something that was not there, not sure why.
I really like it as is, this frame has lots of impact and I enjoy its simplicity - stunning work my friend:5
