A Columbia gorge waterfall that one cannot get close to.
A trail leads to a viewpoint several hundred yards away from the falls.
A few crazy photogs have hiked the two miles of creek into the base and the 100 foot falls has actually
been gone over in Kayaks.
This is (3) photos focus stacked which is the only way to get a clean look. The foliage in front is 20 feet away on
a cliff so getting all sharp is a trick in the breezy Gorge weather.

The file is really compressed, saved at only 50%.

Hi Dan

This is beautifully done... I think you are spoilt for waterfalls. My only wish is that the water was not comming out the side of a tree, but i can see you have almost no wriggle room for recomposing, so well done..

Dan, this is beautiful. I know what Don meant but I am not bothered. This is just perfect. Love everything about this picture, Dan.

Dan, gorgeous colours and well framed. The little cave beyond the waterfall looks inviting.

Nice one Dan, with the little water curve leading to the fall. i do understand Don`s point of view but as there`s no alternative its not an issue.

Very nicely done Dan...beautiful overcast lighting and lush vegetation...agree about the cascade coming out of the tree, but you have to work with what you got and not take too many risks. A photographer fell 60 meters to his death photographing a waterfall in Ontario last week.

Another wonderful waterfall image Dan my only suggestion would be maybe a vertical comp.

Missed this - very nice Dan.
I like the framing and calm mood here - though a slight boost in midtones would make it pop a bit more.
