Nikon D3, 200-400 + 1.4X @ 450mm, 1/60 sec @ f/8, ISO 640, natural light
Taken in my yard, bg is the trunk of a large oak tree, in shadow, with curves adjustment to make it darker

The flowers seems to be popping out of the BG, partner, and the res saturation is just right, showing all the detail.
My favorite yet!

What a wonderful image. I actually leaned into the screen to get a closer look! Love you DOF on this.

Hey Mike, very nice comp, sharpness, color and lighting. The bottome leaves got clipped a little. I can see this also working with the bottom leaves cloned out. Well done Mike.

Hi Mike,
I like the composition. The black background makes it pop... I would also try cloning out the bottom leaves to see how it looks...:D

Alternate with lower leaves cloned out

Hmmmm, I sort of liked it better with other leaves, I feel the compo was more balanced...of course, it is all subjective :)
