David, this is just great.Love the dof, sharpness. Not quite sure about the plant coming right off of the corner.

Great detail in the neat profile. I agree on the plant shooting out of the corner as a negative, since it empahsizes the rectangular shape of the frame. Cropping a bit off the right would solve that.
Great going!!!

Great details and colours here David.
'd like to pose a questions to the experts who've mentioned cropping some from the right side. What about cropping some (~ 1-1.25") from the bottom instead? It would move the plant stem from the corner as well yet still give the dragonfly space to "look" into.

Hey David, another excellent image and I don't mind the perch entering from the corner.

WOW! What a beautiful bug! *I said that?* lol
David, This is so stunning to me. I haven't gotten a chance to look around the forum much but I intend to keep tabs on your work and how you shoot. This is great. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I've gone back to the original file and tried several different crops,,,,,,,adding to the right, taking some away, from the bottom, etc. But I keep coming back to the original as having the best feel to my eye. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. ;) I truly do appreciate the different viewpoints. :)
