I went over to the Wings of Fancy exhibit at Brookside Gardens today and spent some time with the butterflies.

Beautiful color and detail in the bf, Jim. The bottom of the frame doesn't add to the overall image for me.

I like the detail and colors but probably would have taken some off of the bottom, perhaps even a square crop

Lovely top view with lots of detail, Jim. I'd also go for a square crop and tone down the highlights.

Hi Jim Another vote for the square crop !!! Great overall sharpness and color reproduction !!!!

Thanks folks. I probably should have cropped it closer for web presentation, but I had greeting card in my head when I did it.

It's a lovely image, Jim. I can't wait for the first week of August when we have our butterfly exhibit at Powell Gardens!

Nice butterfly Jim. If you have the space what about a landscape format for your card? You'd need to crop a lot off the bottom and a lesser amount off the top.

Hey Jim, great details and colors, I don't mind the image as is, but would also work well in a square crop.

Nice composition Jim,
I would crop it to just about where the red OOF is at the bottom...I like it...

Thanks again everyone.

That might work. I might have to do some blurring and darkening to the right to eliminate a bit of clutter. To the left is a lot of man made junk in the background.
