Hi everyone,
my name is Niels and I was born in Germany, however grew up in Dubai and have ever since lived here. Recently a friend bought himself a new camera and I had decided it was time to replace my old 350D resulting in an addiction to photography. Browsing through a video platform sucking in everything about photography I came across a fascinating guy who was taking bird pictures that did not help with the addiction and I became more interested in the Avian photography and came weekend it was time to take amazing pictures of birds in flight. Ohhhhhhh, there is a little blob in the middle of the picture, that is a bird in flight, hmmmm, maybe the 100mm macro lens is not the best for birds in flight. OK time to get a bigger lens, the 100-300 lens lasted 2 weeks and was replaced by the 100-400 Canon L-lens (the old version). Now we are talking and getting the 1.4 TC (praised by the same guy on YouTube is a must for every serious bird photographer) we are in business and after reading and watching tutorials and 2000 shots later I have decided I have enough knowledge to join a community and here I am.
What am I looking for? A nice place to view and share pictures, to get to know people who share the same hobby and learn from the more experienced users that there seem to plenty in this community to increase my knowledge to be able to take great photos like displayed here.
Thank you for reading and looking forward for a pleasant stay and critique.
Niels
P.s. the guy in the videos was Arthur so that is why I ended up here.
Below, one of my recent shots, not in flight but the action was there :tinysmile_shy_t:
