This is a similar but different file (next frame actually)to one posted several weeks ago. Processed with DPP4 and a little Nik detail extractor, I think the processing and focus is slightly better. I look forward to reading your comments.

Very nice action Jon, and not a bit of noticeable noise! I like your POV and the trail of splash behind. What a beautiful bird, you did very well.

Pwerful take off, sharp and nice splashes. Light comes from the other side, but it gives an interesting effect here. TFS.

Hi Jon, really like this, I like the framing and the power the subject has conveyed from the trail of water behind.

If you have time, I might crop more off the RHS to eliminate the bright top RH corner and where possible, darken the water/environment to add drama to the scene.

You don't see this action too often Jon - and even less so looking at it through 1000mm! Great timing, I really like this frame

Excellent IQ with the 2X.
I love the incoming angle and the splash.
Even though the light is coming from the other side it does not hurt the image at all.
I would clone out the specular highlight on the LHS of frame and burn the area in the RUC.

Wonderful dramatic takeoff... reminds me of the way Coots take flight, running across the water to gain speed. Beautiful bird, nice colors. Thank you for sharing, Jonathan.
