sunset with the Owl

When the forecast is for a cloudless sunny evening,one cant resist just sitting out and watching the owl come in to his territory and sitting on one of his natural favoured posts ,as i dont leave the area untill the owl disperses i can spend a least a hour watching and waiting for the bird to leave ,but does he like to soak up the last rays of sun...canon 1dmkiv 500mm f4 at f8 iso 800 1/500sec 162007

I can see why spending time with this little guy would be hard to resist. Very nice light and I like the straight on pose. Pleasing BG too. Nice image.

Nice one Den. To be honest I,m not too keen on the perch, but then its what they sit on ! Love the light on this and it shows the way these birds use their eyebrows in bright light.

Love the light. Beautiful BG.
I would crop up from the bottom to reduce the amount of perch.
I also think this could use a levels adjustment. Owl seems a bit washed out.
