Got this KF frame in very low light (cloudy evening skies). 1DX 600 II + 2X III. ISO 3200. f/8 at 1/1250sec hand held :Whoa!: Can't wait to see what the 1DX II can do later this week but the old beast is no slouch either!

Very nice in flight image of this speeding dart, Arash. Not an easy bird to track.

Great capture in a very difficult situation, that 2X works well for Canon(Nikon not so well). Perfect wing position and head angle and as always excellent processing

Love the wing position and the sense of speed in this photo. In New York, you can't get within 50 yards of these guys without them quickly taking off away from you. Considering the light and the subject you did great. This is a shot that I would not even dream of taking with my 7d2. Don't think it handles high ISO well at all. (of course it is always possible and probable that I am not processing them properly :w3)

Pretty impressive Arash! 1200 mm, f/8, and a difficult subject...well done!

I have a hard time following birds in the viewfinder with 400mm on the 7D2, can't imagine what it would be like with 1200mm…
And seeing how fast Kingfishers usually are, this is extremely impressive.!

Yes, the gear you have is very capable. But still, this shot needs more than the gear. Hat's off, Arash.

This is lovely, Arash!

Superb techs and wonderful PP work, love the BG and colours overall. This is so well exposed, given the lighting conditions.

Nothing overdone and everything in good measure, I have always been a great fan of your work and I truly enjoy your posts, thank you so much for sharing!

Warmest regards,

Pretty amazing. A tough bird to capture in flight, no matter what the gear. Well done.

Not bad Arash - not bad at all, you have captured fine detail in the plumage and the bill and eye are really sharp. I was slightly surprised to see such good detail at 1/1250 I would have guessed 1/1600 as a minimum would have been required.

Pretty impressive is right, especially for the shooting conditions. Nice details and I like the down wings pose. Well done
