Went back this weekend and got some more shots from the beach at Breezy Point in Queens, New York. No luck this time with the birds running or actively feeding. Did get a great sequence of them mating and this American Oystercatcher while it stood in the perfect spot where you could not really tell where foreground ends and background begins.
Canon 500 f4 ii and 1.4x iii with 7d mark ii. ISO 400, F 7.1, SS 1/2000
Convereted in DPP 4. Cleaned up a few small spots on ground. Slight adjustments to highlights/shadows, contrast and saturation. Brought the red of the beak down a bit as it was just too vibrant. Noise reduction to background and sharpened.
