Hi Guys

Another from the rapids.. Not happy with the b&W's yet so still playing..

1D4 & 70 to 200 F2.8 at 200mm
1/125sec @ F13 ISO 1250. Tripod

Its full frame, Processed in ACR (CS6), added a slight vignette. That's it

Hi Don, i like this one. The movement and framinh are pleasing, but to me it lacks brightness on the margins.. Pherhaps throwing a bit of fill ligh would boost the scene.

Thanks Luis

I actually added a darker vignette to 'push' the eye to the center... here is a repost without that vignette.

In my persinal opinio don, the repost works way better.. I really like it. As there s no vignetting the image looks more uniform and the difference between the gold/neutral tone of the water om the original image fades!

I love the shape of the swirl leading in from the left, coming down and then up into the lighter area. I'd lose the bubbles on the lower edge and maybe the one below the swirl.

I don't mind the darker OP but could go either way, or halfway between. In the OP there is a quality that makes it almost OOTB, in a very good way. It's reminiscent of a glass sculpture by Chihuly. That might be enhanced even more with a High Pass "sharpening."

Would love to see more!!

Don, this is lovely. I like the OP better. I certainly agree with Diane about losing all the bubbles, particularly the ones on the bottom edge.

Outstanding. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Diane and Glennie

Thanks for the suggestions, I too like the idea of removing the FG bubbles.. will try and post something later today.

2nd repost, cropped a little tighter from bottom and LHS. Bubbles removed and a little HP sharpening applied. Also backed off the vignette a little. An improvement I think, cleaner in the FG, a little more detail in the curl...
