Cool looking pheasant. You caught a - urm - loaded? - moment! I really like the details on this bird as I have never seen one before with such clarity. Thanks for sharing. Ihtisham

Getting around to mating time for these birds Jon,like the aggressive stance and nice sheen on the feathers and splayed tail.

Beautiful bird, nicely shown. Your comment regarding the pheasant celebrating made me chuckle and smile. I used to flush these birds for sport when younger, I have not seen one for years. Thank you for sharing, Jonathan.

Hi Jon, lovely angle here, and in turn, it shows off the colours of this fellow nicely. I like the display with the semi raised wings, but the tail shows it off the best.

Nice "cockup" position of a Peaqsant.
Like the crossed tail feathers.

Very nice Jon. Love the pose it gave you, the colours are spot on.

Thanks Will, I am led to believe this colouration is derived from birds of German origin - they are supposed to be good eating. (He is still alive:w3)
