Oh, those are birds. Sorry, couldn't resist. My peep ID skills are horrible.

I really like the saturated colors, especially on the left bird. I wish for a better head angle on the same bird and maybe a little lower camera angle as well.

I'm not convinced one way or the other about the sand, so I'll see what others have to say.

Nice find and light. I agree with Jim on a better head angle. A lower angle would have taken care of the question regarding the habitat. BTW, they look like Least Sandpipers to me.

Peeps with yellow legs = Least Sandpipers. Good comments above. I find both the sand and the water rather distracting. You might try a pano crop taking from both top and bottom to see if that improves the look.
