Love, love the little island and the environment shown.
Beautiful light. Little water droplets add a nice touch.
The blacks seem a bit chocked up and I would play with levels or curves a bit.

I love the comp, and yes the "island" is quite the special piece of real estate!. I would have preferred the tail end of the sandpiper to be more parallel to the camera to also soak in some of that sweet light you had.

Hi Bill a lovely shot of this little critter .
I like the overall image in terms of color , tones , sweet light and comp .And on top you have that " little his island " .

I just think the bird is not that sharp and i am missing some fine detail in the plumage .
