These fulmars have just returned, from their ocean wintering, and it looks like they will be nesting on the red sandstone cliffs overlooking the local harbour, where I captured this pair. They were perched quite high up, so I climbed a nearby hill to get a better POV. I have a few shots with their bills seperated, but thought this pose looked quite cute. The red sandstone formation throughout the image I found interesting, hence the crop.

I really like your composition showing the sandstone formations Will. Interesting courtship behavior very well captured and certainly well worth your hike to get it. Well done and a pleasure to see.

I like the moment and the setting, the fulmars are sharp. I get the impression the image is a little bright, ever so slightly washed out, I think it's worth having a look see Will because that's a good shot.
Liking the camera??

Excellent work here. Composition is excellent. I agree the image (whites) might be a tad bright but an easy fix and besides no big deal as presented.

Thanks for the comments, I'll have another look at the image, I think it is my new monitor, maybe needing calibrated. Loving the new camera :S3:

I agree- the rocks make it. Bit like some we have around here. Nice to see the birds doing something too.
