This was taken this winter along a county road near my house. The catch light was added. All C&C are welcome and appreciated.

Beautiful capture, Jim. My experience with these birds is they are of a skittish nature. Like the winter scene, snow on beak, and colors represented well. Love the distinct horn feathers.

Well captured Jim, love the comp and the 'closeness' of the bird. Nice feather detail, and all looks good against the snowy BG.

I like that the horns are raised. Nice fresh snow nicely acting as a reflector for under the belly. Sharp, and although subdued I do like the colours. Thanks for being upfront about the catchlight. I do think the subject is borderline too big in the frame though IMO.

Good pose, colours and plumage detail, Jim. Well exposed and you have done well with the added catchlight which I feel is fine as long as declared as you did.

The subdued lighting works very well with this giving it a cool effect ,like the raised horns and that nice yellow bit under the chin just lifts it,very nice Jim.

Excellent work here. A favourite and elusive species for me.
I would rework the highlight.
