It is the first time I see and photograph this species. The birds look so strange from this perspective, that is why I like the image. Almost FF, just cropped for the presentation. Comments are welcome.

The low shooting angle and apparent eye contact make this an interesting image, you are almost down amongst the worms that he is hunting. Bird nice and sharp with a nice oof background.

I like everything about the image except that I would prefer more saturation. Nicely done.

Hi Lorant, lovely low perspective, and love the view of the water 'attached' to the upcoming bill from the water. The colours of the BG compliment the Dowitcher nicely. If mine, I would remove the lower smaller catchlight. :w3

Dan. I agree. Tried another version with more saturation and I think it lights up the image a bit.
Stu, I did not use flash, so the 2nd catch light is real and part of the image.
