Hi John Like the low angle, sure helped to clean up the bg !!! Good preening pose and lots of feel !!! I like how you got the bird slightly to one side. All very sharp and all I could wish for is cleaner bg but imo it does not detract in this image !!!

Nice pose and details. As in the other image, there is a slight S/H halo around the head and the color temperature seems a bit warm.

I have to agree about cleaning the BG. You have a very interesting behavior here.

I believe what Axel is seeing is the result of the flash hitting the fog and giving a halo effect tyo the subjet as I did not adjust S/H and the effect is also in the raw file
