Earlier last year I posted an experimental shot where I slowly turned the zoom ring during a 30sec exposure of the night sky. (see here: http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/129790-Psychedelic-Karoo-Dreams)

This is the other alternative - turning the focus ring!

I think this needs some NR and it would look much better. The focus turn does add interest.

Think we need to agree to disagree. I am fine with the noise in the image, it looks much better at higher res than it does here anyway. :e3
