Norm:

He looks like he might be a bit hungry, and letting the world know it! Well exposed, great eye contact, like the little pit he is setting in. BG is soft enough to not distract.

If the canvas is available, I could see just a bit more room on all sides, but I suspect there were other birds or obstacles about.

Cheers

Randy

I chuckled again!! You're really making me smile with these recent postings! I love how this young lad is nestled in the bowl-like nest. A very entertaining image. My only suggestion, if this is FF, would have been to zoom out a bit if only to give you cropping options after-the-fact (especially if you need to crop to a ratio other than 3:2). Keep them coming!

Thanks Randy and Daniel! I actually had more canvass to work with but thought that moving in on this remarkable bird was a good idea. A larger view shown here brings in other elements.

Hi Norm, great head on capture here, and love that we can see right into his throat. Your repost showing the full 'nest' has turned out so much for the better.

Norm:

I like the looser crop in your repost, feels less crowded, and gives us a better appreciation for the nest.

Thanks, Randy. I agree that giving the chick more space was a good idea.
