She had a small cub hidden in the bush.
Canon 40D, 70 - 200 f/4 IS USM. Focal length 185mm, F/6.3 S.S. 1/200mm

Hi Jeni,
I like the focused, far away look she's giving. This image looks to have a greenish-yellow tint on my monitor. I also think it could use a bit more sharpening or maybe going with a wider crop to minimize any softness that can't be corrected.

Thank you Steve, I tried desaturating a bit for the colour... it does seem to have helped. I haven't cropped at all so think the softness you mention could be from shooting through the windscreen. I appreciate your comments:-)

A powerful lioness Jeni. Steve's comments are very valid. Why shoot through a windscreen?

Good morning Vincent, Unfortunately she was on the road walking towards us and we were jammed in between cars. I was on the passenger side so only way to get a shot was through the windscreen - before she reached us ,she turned off into long grass. Not ideal, but I had less than a minute to catch the photo and was running out of zoom space too.
