John, such a beautiful bird. The composition works really well for me and the color is just pretty. I would probably add a tad more clarity to the picture and clone out the OOF branch on the top left of the frame that cuts through your watermark. Such a beautiful bird! :)

Great pose and details in your Bullfinch look spot on to me. Agree with your self critique on the branch. It appears as though your repost brightened the image. I prefer the colors in the original post. Nicely done.

Hiya john,wow there has been some lovely bulley images of late your's being another of this special bird.

John I really like the weight of the moss behind him and the openness of the pool he is facing towards beyond the beauty of a personal favourite I always feel blessed to see !! Inspiring as always John,I'm finding it difficult to be objective should the breast be more intense or is that me,you know how bright they are for a brit bird I freely admit am struggling. I prefer the first image buddy,but curious as to your (and the groups' ) thoughts on what I've mentioned,it's so easy to over do something like this.

Thanks Guys. Appreciate the input. I admit- No 1 for me. I,ve been looking at dozens of other shots both on here and my own and the colours do vary quite a lot They are a bit brighter this time of year after the moult i would presume. At least with this one there was no alteration from the basic camera settings, I just dropped the sat on the green moss a bit.
