Hi All:

We are pleased to announce the winners of December's Rodents Theme. Thanks to our guest judge, Gabriela Plesea, for doing the honors. Bragging rights this month go to:

1st Place - Keith Mitchell, "Harvest Mouse and Cherries" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/133223-Theme-Harvest-Mouse-and-Cherries

2nd Place - Mike Poole, "Red Squirrel" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/132801-Red-Squirrel

3rd Place - Andreas Liedmann, "Cool Dude" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/132821-Cool-dude

Congrats to Keith, Mike and Andreas!

We're also happy to announce that the March Theme will be "Lack of Eye Contact." We often are drawn to images where there is eye contact between the subject and the camera. Many times people comment on the eye contact. However, images can be just as effective where there is no eye contact. Those are the images we're looking for in March. Thanks to Gabriela and Andre for suggesting this theme. Forum rules still apply. As always, please use the "Theme" prefix from the dropdown menu. Theme images will be critiqued just like other images and are eligible for IOTW honors.

In the meantime, let's start posting images for February's Theme "Multiple Species in an Image."

Hello, guys this is Tony Johnson, and avid bird watcher, birder and wildlife lover. I found out that the best way to view nature in through binoculars and not a camera, but I also take a lot and lots of pictures.

Have a great day guys.
