D7200 w/Tamron 150-600mm @ 500mmISO 800; f/11, 1/2000 sec.; MM -0.33This photograph of a Black-browed Albatross and its chick was captured at Saunders Island, the Falkland Islands. The image was cropped to eliminate another nesting bird.

Beautiful shot. Very nice depth of field. A tighter crop maybe? I was thinking a square crop of just the interaction between the mother(?) and the chick around the beaks area.

Works for me! I'm not overly thrilled with the upper right corner, but the rest of the image looks good. Very intimate, good interaction. Great view of the nest. Perhaps enhancing the existing highlights in the eye at ad would work well.

Very good shot lovely exposure and tonal range. I would be tempted to fill in top right corner and trim a little off the LHS, this will minimise the rocks/ledges.

Really nice interaction, Norm.
I might run another round of NR on the BG and maybe try to squeeze out a bit more detail out
of the whites on the Adult.

Love the affection and intimacy here, and seeing the round nest and differences between the adult and chick. I think the image could be improved with a different crop but not sure which one since I don't have the full frame image. I think I'd go tighter if you have enough pixels.

Gorgeous!! I'd try for a little more detail in the whites and crop to a vertical, with a little off the left and more off the right.
