As the name suggests this species lives almost exclusively North of the USA/Canadian border and rarely comes down as far South as Southern Ontario.
Old image, new PP work. (Not much really)
Thanks for looking and commenting.

Karl:

Nice eye contact, effective perch. I might consider moving him a bit to the left in the frame.

Cheers

Thanks, Randy.
I already did as it was a fully centered vertical shot.
But now I moved it even further to the left and added some more canvas to the right.

Lovely shot Karl I like the pose and the eye contact I did wonder about cropping off the base to where the smaller diagonal branches are but on refection I think it looks just fine as it is. The colours and exposure look excellent, the bit of stick coming out behind the tail does not concern me at all.

That's one heck of a frame, Karl, and I simply LOVE that perch and the snow adds so much. The pose is great and I am envious I have never even seen one of these!

Karl just moving the bird over to the left a tad puts icing on the cake to what is a superb image as posted, very well done.
