Hi all just a very simple Coot that i shot during my last outing for testing Canonīs HTP to use or not ?!
This one was taken with HTP disabled , but i think Arash is right with his thought as long as there is no need for open up shadows you will not see a negative side effect from this "HTP" .

Canon EOS 1Dx
EF 500 IS LL + 1,4 TC MK III
HH

F 5,6 ; Iso 2000 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC , slight crop from all sides apart from RHS

Thanks for looking and commenting to my last posting

Cheers Andreas

the details and exposure are very good Andreas, soft light was in your favor. My only wish is that the coot was just a tad angled towards us. the low angle is very nice

Andreas it's nice to see you posting a few birds, you really do get down low with both Seals and Birds, excellent detail and exposure.

Good solid image of the coot. I like the shade of blue of the water.
Blacks look excellent and POV perfect.
What does HTP mean?? That is a new abbreviation to me,
Gail

Lovely shot one of the things I look for is detail in the bill as well as the plumage and you have it.

I think it is Highlight Tone Priority - you can select this in camera.

Andreas:

Coots can be a real exposure nightmare, so well done here. Agree that the water color is very nice. Good eye.

Cheers
