I love the BG in this image.Nice, simple perch and I like the windblown feather.
I am sure you will get lots of different opinions from all of us on the crop and here is mine::bg3:
I would take some off the LHS. You could also go for a vertical but I like the BG so much that I would keep this as a landscape.
I wonder if you can lift the shadows under the tail?
I am on my laptop but IQ looks good ,

Beautiful colours and setting, my only suggestion would be to lift the darker areas a little bit.

I love this background. and would keep the crop as is to show it. The perch works well here. I would be happy if this were mine.

Absolutely lovely owl and frame. I would try Gail's suggestions on cropping b/c I don't feel as though the owl has enough attention with this comp
