The 5DS R is now my go-to workhorse body with whatever super-telephoto lens I am using.

Do be shy; all honest comments welcome. a

I'm a sucker for high-key backgrounds, and this sets off the handsome Peregrine very nicely. Great exposure bringing out details equally well in the dark head and wings, and the light breast feathers. Angle is a bit steep, but that is the way we see these birds, if we're lucky to see them at all. Comp is nice; sometimes IMO a 1 px border helps to frame a high-key shot. Hard to find any nits. Congratulations to the group in sighting this handsome lass.

Super image of a wonderful species. I like the high key background. The perch doesn't have much character, but it is clearly a favorite of hers. My favorite part of the image is the remnants of her meal on her breast and in her talons and also that misplaced feather. Image is real, not sanitized and I appreciate that.

Great work Artie. Love peregrines and this looks like a very good painting!

High key works well and I like the perch as it does not detract from the subject

You have captured the blue plumage very well. TFS

I like to see a bird with a feather or two out of place like this ,and also the bits left on the perch they all add interest, Arthur the bird itself is a stunner.

Artie:

Good comments above. Although not the most beautiful perch, the curve helps a lot graphically for me. Lovely exposure and detail.

Cheers

I like high-key images, at the same time I find them a big challenge to take. Very good exposure and the colors are nicely showing on the bird. Perch isn't the nicest for sure, but goes well with the shape of the subject. Well done.

Thanks all and Arash. He's a she: "Rosie." Her out of place feathers are present each year despite her having molted... a

Super shot Artie I love the plumage and the slightly dishevelled look. It looks as though you were shooting upwards but the angle looks good.

Gorgeous image of the beautiful lady- Rosie, nice name too.
Superb details in the plumage. I like the curved perch and it's colour well complimenting with feather colour.

satish.
