This shot was one of the first in a series of test shots I was setting up,i was noticing that the thinner the perch (or one at a slight angle) was leading to the bird taking the bait on the wing ,so I thought I would have a go and take advantage of this and capture the moment ,unfortunately it didn't get the shot I wanted that actually got the bird taking fully on the wing even though I had a few opportunities ,hopefully this spring will get me the shots I am looking for , I did get one shot with the bird taking on the wing with bait in claw wings down but missed the focus on the eye...canon 1d mkiv 300mm f4 at f4 iso 800 1/2000 sec +1/3 ev ...158441
