I captured this image a Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida. The brown/chestnut ring that gives the duck it's name can be see, most time it is not visible. Bright overcast with calm winds. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

You had perfect condition condition for duck photography!
Very ethereal looking.
Great to see the ring on the neck. For the life of me I cannot figure out why they called this duck ring necked instead of ring billed!
Good POV and IQ,
Gail

I like the calm water, sharpness, visible ring and composition. Very well done Joe!

Nicely done. You might try a version with less lightening of the head and possibly some more contrast and sharpening there. a

Joe thought the OP looked ok but the repost certainly lifts the whole image, very nicely done.

Keith.

Better, but still a bit too light on the head for me. LMK what you think of this repost. a
