Giovani, I'm impressed that you could get such sharpness with the 7D2 at 700mm and ISO-1250 while shooting at a slow SS of 1/200. Was it handholding or tripod? The eage looks great, the Bg is not ideal though. Loi

Hello Loi
I ask your pardon ...off course 1/2000 no 1/200

Hi Giovanni, I love the image of the eagle with beak open. There are many layers in the image. I would consider to crop out the foreground snow and the dark areas at the top. Perhaps dodging or low opacity clone of the shore and/or the thin dark band below will help too?

Yes I agree Giovanni, the snow at the bottom does help us see that this is a river in the background :)

Yeah, the snow at the bottom rocks. Two feet more of snow would have helped the BKGR :) Sharp with a nice EXP.

I also have the 7D mk II and its amazing what you can do handheld with that focus system! Beautiful pose and very powerful image.

I agree that the dark areas at the top need to be lightened or cloned away. I also think the eagle could be cropped a tiny bit more to the left, if possible. I like how it is charging into the image of course, but just think its a little too extreme. Would like just a little air more to the right.
