Interesting head on shot, David. It might need slight CCW rotation.

Interesting indeed, especially the plumage. Contrast seems a tad strong here, and I agree the image needs some CCW rotation (and perhaps more room at left). Good high key treatment, and focus looks spot on.

Hybrid with what??? Yes to some CCW... Nice detail in the darks....

Well exposed good details I agree a little anticlockwise rotation.

David think maybe tone down the contrast a tad ,then it looks fine by me, difficult to tell who it's dad is.

I am thinking that it might be a Mallard X Soup Duck cross..... a
