This was shot from tripod in available light. Canon 1DX, Canon 300 f/2.8 IS II + 1.4TCIII at f.5.6, 1/320, ISO 2500. Bird was attracted to feeders and its native flower was setup in front of the feeder. Guango Lodge, Ecuador.

Hi Geoff, I like the comp with both HB and flower placed diagonally across the frame. I feel the overall image is a bit dark, but I am viewing on my laptop.

Hi Geoff,

I'm with Stu. Love the composition. Flower seems much brighter than darker bird. If you elect to bring up the brightness, you may consider to mask the flower.

If you have space to the left, a little more space between the wing tip and edge of frame may work well.

Love the flower and comp. This image would be largely improved by a brighter bird. Would love to see a RP.

I like the blurred wings/tail, flower and composition. You did as well as you could with the available light. Nice image Geoff.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I had a pretty good idea when I posted it that the darkness of the bird would be commented on. I will have a look at some masking and try to make the bird pop a bit more. The flower highlights had to be brought way down but I did that as a general adjustment so will go back and select the bird and flower separately and see what I can come up with.
