Grumpy Great Blue Heron.

Here's one from a couple of weeks ago. It was cold and windy, and this Great Blue Heron tried its best to look miserable. It succeeded:c3:

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/400s., f/7.1, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF.

Hi Dan, brilliant detail, as all the feathers fall in the DOF. Nice and sharp, and the Heron pops so well against your smooth BG.
