I have had many BIF shots of this species throughout the years.
This image is most recent taken with a 7D Mark II that I bought again
after selling the first copy and regretted it, as I missed the reach.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Karl, I think you may have missed the sharpening addition, looks soft, but if you apply some sharpening it brings the detail back.

Thanks, Steve. Here is one with some more sharpening without going overboard.

You're nailing these guys, Karl. No easy feat. This is a wonderful flight shot, and the repost makes all the difference.

Hi Karl, yes it is, but personally, it 'could' go a tad more in key areas via masking???? Remember, this is 'perceptional' sharpening at this stage. :S3:

Karl:

Repost is def. better to me, and I tend to go easy on the sharpening on my own images. Lovely dorsal display.

I might be tempted to give it a sliver more room on top, but very close as posted.

Cheers

Excellent image Karl! I like the wing position, water color, composition and repost looks a lot better.

Hi Karl,

The repost knocks my socks off! It almost looks 3-D over that wonderful BG.

Very nice shot ... very hard to find anything to critique! So I won't :)

Super RP of an already killer flight shot on this stunning species. Light was gorgeous. I'd give it a sliver more on top than bottom.

Hi Karl, excellent flying pose, as this angle shows off everything. I like the colours and detail, and he pops nicely from your deep blue water. Another vote for more room top and bottom.
