Its still three and a half weeks before I leave for my summer holidays in Cape Town. Here is an image from last december from one of the locations I will be frequenting. This was captured early morning, and as a large flock of these Geese flew over me, I had to try and single out some individuals, and these two came into my frame nicely. The slight yellow cast is from the early light, and although I have removed some of the cast already, Ive left this to show the early morning light. There is a multitude of different species at this location - cant wait to get back.

Nice to have an up wing and a down stroke individuals in the same frame, Stu.
The light is excellent, shooting angle is good. Well taken.

Nice light Stu, be great if you can get three in frame next time, as it reminds me of the ones people used to fix to a room wall :bg3:.

Beautiful lighting Stu. I like the detail on both birds and they contrast well against the BG. Wished we got lovely geese like those.

Stu:

Nice to have some clouds to give some depth, agree about the up stroke/down stroke combination of wing positions. Well exposed.

Good luck on your 'summer vacation". Sounds odd here in the northern US.

Cheers

Hi Stu,

I really like how you have captured one with wings up, and the other with wings down. Nice blue sky and clouds in the BG. Great composition using the pano crop.

Hello Stu!

Perfectly exposed and beautiful light, well framed and presented!

Enjoyed this, very much, hope you have some more opportunities in December, glad it's CT and not KZN - we still have no water around here and not sure where all the birds have gone!?!

Warmest regards,
