Jon the Seal is almost camouflaged against those Barnacle covered rocks and the Kelp, very nice natural shot.

Hi Jon - I agree it shows the habitat very well and I like the inclusion of the water at the bottom of the frame. Were you in a boat when you took this? The tones look good.

Hi Jon, a classic Farnes Seal, good you had nice light, ISO400, you obviously had the right day.

Nice inclusion of the habitat, good scene setting, likewise the low POV.

Hi Jon - The reason I asked is that my general rule of thumb for shooting from a boat is to have a minimum ss of 1/1600. I think the body here could be a little sharper and that may be down to ss.

Hi Jon a classy Grey seal pose in an environment that i have not seen yet .
Looks different to the sandy areas i have seen them so far .
I like the overall setting and the somehow camouflaged Seal in their rocky environment . Like the overall color and tones , all does look very balanced to me .
Overall i think the sharpness is a bit too much in the surrounding , but it could be just me . I might reduce the overall sharpness by 30-50 % to the habitat.
