This Osprey was perched on a branch on the open beach . He was tolerating the locals getting amazingly close. So I set up and waited for the take off.
added a little canvas to bottom.

Classical take off pose. I could see this one with more room around and I'd try to extract more details from the plumage. TFS.

Hi Robert, well timed to have captured the raised wings pre-take off. Great angle to show up the talons and the shape of the beak. I find the whites well exposed, and maybe a touch of selective sharpening on the head.

Robert;

Agree, excellent timing, nice pose, like the slight angle towards us. I do agree, that if you could extract a bit more detail from the whites, that would be nice. Just a hint of detail extractor would be excellent if you have the Nik plugins.

Cheers

The timing is just about perfect with that wings up take off pose. I think a little extra sharpening would do this shot the world of good

No one has mentioned the beautiful multicolored BG.
Great pose and agree on more sharpening of the head.

Great take off pose. This image def needs more sharpening b/c I am not seeing much feather details here. Otherwise, it may be a bit soft.

I agree the image needs a bit more sharpening as posted, but I love the pose and "ocean feel" background. Nice view of the talons too.
