Buzzard

A small story behind this shot ,just moments earlier this bird had been watching a Barn owl hunting ,the barn owl had a injured leg and was hunting later and longer and leaving it self open to predation due to the injury ,eventually the barn owl found its prey but unfortunately so did the buzzard ,the buzzard attacked and killed the barn owl just yards from were I was situated, I did get some record shots ,but found it difficult to witness, however I did keep my eye on the buzzard and got this shot as he was leaving the scene ...Canon 1d mk3 600mm f4 x1.4 5.6 iso 640 1/200sec +2 ev 156922

Raindrops and BG and color palette are very appealing. Just wish for a better wing position.
Your story just makes me wants to see the hawk and owl pics- even if difficult to view.

Hi Dennis, I really like the panned motion blur of the BG here, together with I assume, a happy Buzzard. Thanks for sharing the action in your other post, even though not quite visible.
