Made this image in my garden in April - all I did was size and sharpen it. I really love the colors in this flower..

Cheers, :D

Bruce...wonderful image...love the color and the water drops. I might be tempted to crop a bit off the top.

Hey Bruce, great looking subject, and water adds a nice touch. I like the DOF. I agree with Bill on a crop off the top. Another option would have been to shoot from a lower point shoting up to eliminate the purple at the bottom and giving the image a solid color BG.

Hi Bruce,
I'll go with Mike's recommendations.......you would have been able to add more stem and have a clean BG.........but I do see a few tips peeking in on the bottom.......so maybe not an option. Water droplets are a big plus.......but I would remove a few of the uninteresting highlights in PP. Well done.
PS Do like the bud as an added bonus.

Bruce,

I agree with the others. A lower vantage point was needed here to get the Iris in that nice, clean BG.

I agree with with the lower angle perspective. Other than that, good subject to image.

Thanks for all the comments folks. Agree lower perspective would have been better - and I can crop from the top and work on the bg..

Cheers,

Bruce :)
