Another image from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. This one was taken from Bright Angel Point, the end of the short path right near the North Rim Lodge and one of the most popular viewpoints at the North Rim. I waited a short time until the sun had risen enough to be bathing some of the opposite walls of the canyon in the warm, early morning light.

C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

I would either crop or lighten the clouds at the top.
Very nice soft light.....

Absolutely Wonderful Rachel..! Maybe the best of this series for me... love that light and the subtle detail. Only suggestion would be to cropp off (or lighten) as Dan suggests the dark cloud top LH corner

I understand and accept the cloud comment. I appreciate that you captured the right moment of light but were also able to find detail in the dark areas.

Hi RAchel, a very nice scene and I to agree on the clouds along the upper edge...what is in the lower right corner - mist being lit by the rising sun? I may tone that down a touch as it does draw my eye.

Thanks Hazel and Andrew. Andrew, that's a small cloud floating through. It looks better in the high res image.

Thanks again,
Rachel

This image really shows the depth and vastness of this wonderful piece of US geography. I like the way that you have captured detail in the shadows without blowing anything out of the highlights. I think that the darker clouds at the top help to keep the eye on the main part of the image.

Wonderful light here Rachael my only suggestion echoes the elimination of the clouds
