University of Puerto Rico's Botanical Gardens, Canon 30D, Canon 180mm w/ext tube, ISO 100, f/16 @1/200sec. 580X flash. As you can see, I am starting to get clearer backgrounds. And I should have moved the leaf in the right side, but it does have fangs !!

Hi Adcolon,
The lighting and DOF are very nice. The FG leaf??? ........that cuts off the front legs is a bit too distracting for me though. Soem of the bright spots in the BG could also be cleaned up a bit.

Adcolon,

The leaf takes away from the image for sure, but the DOF is sweet - this 180mm macro is quite the lens. Seems like you could clone out the reflections on the fangs and top of the head. That would make the simple eyes stand out more :)

Cheers,

Bruce

Hey adcolon, what a handsome fellow, it looks like it has a mustache. Very nice details and good DOF, and as you stated the FG leaf does detract from the image.
