One from last summer that I'm working up for printing. Amberwing shaking off the early morning dew. I still can't believe the head remained still during the exposure.

30D, 300f4, extension tubes, 1 sec, f13, iso 100, ambient light, full height crop from a horizontal frame

David,
Simply fantastic... love the semi blur of the wings with partial details, the eye is razor sharp and the perch brings everything together...congratulations...keep them coming...

Looks like he's getting ready to fly off the screen!

This is going to make a beautiful print!

Hey David,
That it so cool that he didn't move his head. The motion combined with the razor sharp DOF combine to put this one over the top!

This bad ***, congrats. The dew and wing blur make it an exceptional photo.

An excellent capture David - I've always waited until the insect came to rest before firing off a shot - I can see now I have been missing a great opportunity :(
A great image that tells a story!!!

Hey David, congrats on a great capture. It is amazing that the head maintained still with the wings moving. Well done.
