Summer is fast coming to a close in the UK (Did we have one?). Probably one of the last chances to photograph this species this year. Back to the birds!

Well caught David, i would try toning down the saturation and some of the highlights, you have excellent focus and detail well done. That lens really does make for an excellent choice when it comes to dragonflies.

Hi Jonathan. Thanks for the comments. Agree about the lens. The colour saturation is just as it came out of the camera. Full sun with a slightly lower camera angle seems to do that.

Hi David. Interesting colors and patterns on the dragonfly and very good head-to-tail sharpness! I also like the shooting angle where we are looking slightly up at the dragonfly. Nicely done!

I particularly like the rich colors and vivid background. Perhaps a little more space around the subject if you have it.

Great pose on this dragonfly and POV. I agree with Jonathon on toning down just a bit of the saturation and highlights. I do like the multi-colored bkgd and the sun catching on the dragonfly, especially the wings, as well as the side of the dried flower perch.
