Those of you who have seen the animated movie named 'Madagascar' certainly know the
Fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox). In Kirindy forest reserve in western Madagascar, these fossas live wild & free. Though they are not easily seen in the wild, they frequently visit the rubbish dump in the camp and are quite approachable, though they can be very aggressive. (I had them going for my lens...) I followed this one into the woods and eventually he relaxed and lay down, though he continuously kept an eye on me.
Low light levels unfortunately forced me to shoot wide open.

Cool story and image Vincent. Though I am OK with the tight crop, I might like to see a bit more room between the ears and image edge.

Interesting looking animal Vincent. I like the half-open intensity of the eyes. I think the shallow DOF works well here as the nose and eyes are quite sharp. I might have cropped a bit more off the right side (if available).
