My backyard birds produced a good crop of offspring this season. This young House Finch was photographed in July, as he called for more food from a nearby parent. I liked the little tufts of juvenile plumage.

What a lovely frame.
Great pose, great BG, DOF and flash work.
IQ is excellent and love the lichens on the perch. Beautiful new plumage.
I am not sure about the little bit of ?? on the head. OK as is but would think about cloning it out.

Lovely IQ, lovely BG and I like the attitude at display here. I'm enjoying the angles as well as the details in the perch. Those fake horns this youngster is wearing are fun. Nice image Bill.

Very nice calling pose, Bill. Like the soft light, detail and BG. Lichen adds to the image.

Cute! Looks like he has a bit of attitude. Perch is large but moves nicely through the frame, so I'm sold. Nice shot, Bill.
