Hello,
Taken from my car used like a hide, the only chance for me to get near this bird.

beautiful Eric, I love the nice dynamic pose, excellent light, great BG and of course, the sharp details. The perch shows hand of man but it is weathered enough that's not distracting. I might add more space to the btm of the frame

This is excellent.
The light is beautiful.
I love the wings up pose.
I would add a bit more canvas to the bottom. The post is weathered enough to be considered attractive and seeing a bit more of it will not hurt the image. Would also take a sliver off the LHS.
Well done,
Gail

Now that is some seet light you had here, and the background is a beautiful golden glow due to it. Great wing position, especially the near one. Yes, the fence post looks good and weathered. Perhaps a tad more room would be good as already mentioned.

Light, pose, exposure, details all great and a wonderful bird as well. Good compositional tweaks already suggested. Very nice frame.

Despite the perch isn't too natural this photo works incredibly well. Beautiful light, nice composition and pose, details, sharpness. A real eye candy. Congratulations, Eric.

Thank you all. For the concrete hint to leave a little bit more space at the bottom, thank you.
And yes it is possible.. this picture is a little bit cropped from 5700Px to nearly 5000Px ( out of the middle)

I absolutely love this. The light, the pose and the BG couldn't get better than this. Perch more than OK for me. Excellent!

It would look awesome as a vertical comp, but I bet they don't give you much time to spin the rig to that orientation as they're about to flap.
Love the light and the pose captured.
Agree about crop suggestions.
