Normally these birds are shy at my area, but this one walked right by me as I was laying in the mud. He checked me out a bit..I took a few images...than he was off.

Nice portrait, perfect head angle, Lorant. The eye and beak are nice and sharp. Great work.

Looking good Lorant. I like the BG colour against the colours on the bird. Good capture. Maybe a little more room on top. The HA is perfect for a portrait shot. Well done.

Very nice done. I have had the exact same experience with the Black Bellied Plovers in my area. They are extremely shy but for some reason a few times when I have laid flat on the ground they have approached me really close to check me it out same way. They seems to become very curious.

Tell me I am blind Lóri, but to me the bill seems a touch soft.
WHat a beautiful portrait otherwise with the perfect green BG.
The plumage is gorgeous and so detailed. Really stands out.
Thanks for sharing brother.

Thanks for the comments. Akos, you aren't blind....I have to sharpen the beak for sure. :)

I agree about the beak but the rest is super. Killer colors and details. Well done
