Hi David,
Very nice angle and in your face approach. My preference may have been for a hair more DOF......but it still is sharp where absolutely needed and executed very well. I see you used ISO 160........could you go up with the 30D to say ISO 400 and increase either speed or DOF....or does it start to get too noisy??? Just something to possibly experiment with in future attempts! Still.......Nicely done!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Roman,,,,,here's my thought process on this image. The 30D is very clean up to iso 320 so noise wasn't the issue. From experience I knew that 1/2 sec was about the lowest shutter speed I could get away with under the conditions. f16 is probably the smallest aperture for this lens/extender setup for max sharpness. The ultimate for max dof would be a multi image stack, but I'm too lazy for that! ;)
