I like the calling pose with wide open beak. Good techs and processing. I only wish you were slightly higher relative to the puffin

Neat pose, colours, details, composition. Too bad the eye does not have a catchlight or reflection - perhaps a bit of eye work would be worth it. All else is spot on to me.

Nice to have the open beak. Excellent details, good IQ. I would try to brighten the eye a bit if it were mine.

That is a outstanding picture. When I see such a razor sharp shot taken with the 7d Mark II it really makes me realize that I need to practice more with mine. Hope to get some shots this nice someday. Great picture and great processing.

I've had some luck with puffin eyes when I select it, put it on its own layer, lighten the iris then burn in the pupil. Probably many other ways to do this better! MY PS skills are ever evolving but that's what I would try. Certainly an image worthy of some more work!
